Terms of Service
These terms apply when you use grassisgreener.us or your customer account, request a quote, book or receive lawn-care services, or buy beef from The Grass is Greener LLC ("we", "us"), a Utah limited liability company in Hyrum, Utah. By using our website or services you agree to these terms. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.
1. Quotes and estimates
- Prices shown online are estimates based on the information you give us. The final price may change once we see the property, for example if the lawn is larger, harder to reach or in different condition than described.
- Mowing has a minimum charge per visit, shown on our Services page. Other services are quoted individually.
- A quote is good until the date shown on it. Approving a quote online, by choosing an option and typing your name, is your agreement to that option at that price, and is as binding as a signature on paper.
2. Scheduling
- Arrival times are windows, not appointments. Earlier jobs, traffic and weather can move them.
- We may move a visit because of rain, wet ground, unsafe conditions or equipment trouble. We will reschedule it, and a visit we skip is not charged.
- Recurring mowing runs during our mowing season, usually April through October. Visits outside the season can be booked separately.
- Online bookings are requests until we confirm them. A booked visit reserves a day; the price is confirmed separately.
3. Your property
- Please give our crew safe access: gates unlocked, pets inside or secured, and the lawn clear of toys, hoses and debris.
- Please tell us about or mark anything hidden that equipment could hit, such as sprinkler heads, shallow lines, invisible pet fences, stakes or rocks.
- If our crew damages your property through our own carelessness, tell us within 7 days and we will repair it or pay for the repair. We are not responsible for damage caused by hidden objects we were not told about, by existing wear or defects, or by conditions outside our control.
- If we cannot safely do the work when we arrive (for example, a locked gate or loose dog), we may treat the visit as skipped.
4. Recurring service and cancelling
You can pause or cancel recurring service at any time by contacting us. Please give us at least 24 hours' notice before a scheduled visit. Work already done is still owed. We may stop service if invoices go unpaid or if conditions at the property are unsafe.
5. Billing and payment
- We invoice weekly or monthly depending on your account. Payment is due by the due date on the invoice.
- You can pay online by card or bank transfer (processed by Stripe), or by check, cash or Venmo. Payments by bank transfer take a few business days to clear and are not marked paid until they do.
- If an invoice is past due, we may pause service until the account is brought up to date.
- If you think a charge is wrong, contact us before disputing it with your bank so we can fix it quickly.
- Tips are completely optional and never expected.
Automatic payments
If you turn on automatic payment, you authorize us to charge the card or bank account you saved, through Stripe, for each invoice when it is issued, in the amount of that invoice. For bank accounts, this is an authorization for electronic (ACH) debits. We try each invoice once; if it fails we will let you know and the invoice stays open. You can turn automatic payment off or change the saved method at any time in your customer account or by contacting us, at least 3 business days before the next charge.
6. Beef
- Reserving before butchering (presell). When you buy a share of an animal that has not been processed yet, the price is estimated from its expected weight. The final price is based on the actual weight after processing. We will tell you the final amount, and either collect the difference or refund it.
- Your share is reserved when you place the order. Unpaid orders can be cancelled. Once an animal has gone to the processor, cutting cannot be undone, so paid orders are refundable only as we agree with you.
- Cutting instructions. We pass your choices to a USDA-inspected processor. Actual cut counts and package weights vary with each animal.
- Pickup. We will contact you to arrange pickup. Please collect your order promptly; frozen meat must be kept frozen and we cannot hold it indefinitely.
- Our animal records. What we say about how an animal was raised comes from our own farm records. It is not a third-party certification.
- Safe handling. Beef is sold raw. Keep it refrigerated or frozen, thaw in the refrigerator or microwave, keep raw meat apart from other foods, and cook it thoroughly. Once it leaves our hands, safe storage and cooking are your responsibility.
7. Text messages
If you give us your mobile number, you agree that we may text you about your service and orders, such as appointment reminders, "we're on our way" notices, quotes, invoices and replies to your messages. These are not marketing messages. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop texts, or HELP for help, or contact us at (435) 282-0660. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Your consent to texts is not a condition of buying anything. See our Privacy Policy for how your number is handled.
8. Your online account
Keep your password private. You are responsible for what happens in your account. Tell us right away if you think someone else has used it. We may suspend an account that is misused.
9. Using our website
Please do not misuse the website: no spam, no attempts to break in or overload it, and no copying our photos or content for commercial use without permission. The website and its content belong to The Grass is Greener LLC.
10. Limits on our responsibility
We provide our website "as is" and cannot promise it will always be available or error-free. To the fullest extent the law allows, our total responsibility for any claim relating to a service or order is limited to the amount you paid for that service or order, and we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits responsibility that cannot be limited by law.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah. If a dispute cannot be worked out by talking with us first, it will be handled in the courts of Cache County, Utah.
12. Changes
We may update these terms. The version posted here, with its effective date, applies. If a change is significant, we will let customers know by email.
